Silicone softener is an emulsion of Amino Silicone Oil and is easily soluble in water. Silicone softeners have 2 specific forms: micro silicone and macro silicone. Silicone softener is widely used in textile finishing technology to give a silky soft effect to the fabric.

AVCO-Elastogum 6150 Silicone softener is a Macro Silicone emulsified from modified Amino Silicone Oil. AVCO-Elastogum 6150 Silicone softener is used for finishing technology on woven and knitted fabrics by padding on a tenter machine. AVCO-Elastogum 6150 Silicone softener is suitable for all types of fibers.

​Properties of AVCO-Elastogum 6150 Silicone softener

  • AVCO-Elastogum 6150 Silicone softener is a macro-emulsion which covers the fiber’s surface and imparts a very soft, velvety surface and elastic feel for woven and knitted fabrics.
  • AVCO-Elastogum 6150 Silicone softener  improves the wash and wear properties and the crease recovery angle, sewability, tear strength and reduces abrasion.
  • The effect resists washing and dry cleaning.
  • AVCO-Elastogum 6150 Silicone softener has very little effect on the degree of whiteness.
  • AVCO-Elastogum 6150 Silicone softener does not adversely affect the shade or color fastness of colored articles.
  • AVCO-Elastogum 6150 Silicone softener can be used in combination with other finishes such as nonionic and cationic softeners and resins.

  • AVCO-Elastogum 6150 Silicone softener is used for padding on a tenter machine.
  • Dosing recommendation : 10-30 g/l.
